Overview:

Appraisal reviews can be a challenging and rewarding experience.  Recent events have magnified the importance of competent, objective appraisal reviews.  This seminar was designed for the individual with basic to intermediate appraisal experience.  Participants will learn the most common appraisal development and reporting deficiencies as well as the most common review report weaknesses and deficiencies.  In addition to discussions on appraisal review guidelines, requirements, methods and techniques, participants will examine case studies in class exercises.  A calculator is required.

By the end of this course, participants should:

  • Develop a better understanding of appraisal review requirements and fundamental techniques

  • Identify standard definitions relevant to appraisal and appraisal review

  • Identify USPAP Scope of Work requirements and tests for acceptability and how they apply to appraisal and appraisal review

  • Identify Standard 3 development and reporting requirements

  • Identify development and reporting requirements when the scope of the assignment includes the reviewer’s opinion of value

  • Identify common appraisal development and reporting deficiencies

  • Identify common review report weaknesses and deficiencies

Length:  One day, 7-hour continuing education seminar.  Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the seminar begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.

Course Fee:  $125 if payment received in advance; $150 if paid at the door.
